Ice Cube Chair
The Ice Cube Chair is a piece designed to reflect the transience of our consumer society and the resulting throwaway culture. While its design provocatively critiques the unsustainability of our products in an artistic manner, it simultaneously makes a connection to climate change by taking the form of a melting ice cube. This artistic representation draws a parallel to the melting polar ice caps. Much like the polar ice caps, the icy chair’s form is temporary, symbolizing the imminent end of life on our planet due to climate change.
